Are you a young professional who needs a little more Earth Day in your life? Want to spend an evening learning how environmental sustainability plays a role in the future of Raleigh? Triangle Young Professional Civitan Club invites you to our Earth Day Replay at Dix Park!
The day after Earth Day, on April 23, join us for a casual evening of conversation and outdoor fun at Raleigh’s biggest park! We’ll hear from organizers and advocates from local organizations as they share their insights about environmental initiatives happening here in the Triangle. In addition to some broad conversation about living healthy and sustainability, Dorothea Dix Park will discuss the future of the park and its role in the lives of young adults and Oaks and Spokes will talk with us about alternative transportation and its role in maintaining a sustainable lifestyle.
After the discussion stick around to enjoy the evening outdoors! Bring your frisbees, dogs (on leashes, please!), bicycles, blankets, and camping chairs and continue the Earth Day vibes after your 9-5. You are welcome to bring snacks, water bottles and non-alcoholic beverages.
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 pm
The event is free but please RSVP; it helps us plan for how many folks to expect.
The goal of Triangle Young Professional Civitan Club is to connect young professionals through leadership opportunities and community service.
Location: Williams Field at Dix Park, corner of Blair Drive and Umstead Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603
