Get Fit at Dix - Self-Defense

Raleigh Group Fitness Self Defense

Get Fit at Dix Park with free Raleigh Group Fitness pop-up classes.

Self-Defense with Sensei Seth is a martial arts class designed to teach basic functions of self defense in simple yet effective terms. The instructor will cover everything from a basic straight punch to more complex moves such as escaping a bear hug. Each week, Seth will add on more movements and techniques. Don't worry if you skip a week though, he will do a review at the beginning of each class!

Bring a towel and a filled water bottle. Water is not available in the park. There are port-a-johns available, but they may be a significant walk from the class location.

Limited spaces available. Registration is required. In case of inclement weather, we will email all registered participants. This program is free to the public thanks to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy donors.


Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
