Get Fit at Dix with free community pop-up classes from Current Wellness!
Combining yoga with strength training elements, Tidal Movement is the best of both worlds. Current Wellness Co-Founder, Brit Guerin is brings her signature high-energy movement class to Dix Park. Every session begins with grounding techniques to center our minds, moves into core and functional training, and ends with gratitude. Come ready to move!
Bring a towel and a filled water bottle. Drinking water is not currently available in the park. There are port-a-johns available, but they are a significant walk from the class location - located at Flowers Field on Dawkins Drive or the Big Field on Barbour Drive.
Limited spaces available. Registration is required. This program is free to the public thanks to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy donors.

Weather: If we need to postpone or cancel due to inclement weather, we will communicate through email to registered participants and post on the Dix Park Facebook Page.
Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Location: Williams Field at Dix Park, corner of Blair Drive and Umstead Drive. Nearest building address is 1800 Blair Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603.
Directions to the Program Location
This program will meet in Williams Field which is on the other side of the tree line from the Big Field, near the corner of Blair Drive and Umstead Drive. From Western Boulevard, turn onto Hunt Drive. Turn RIGHT onto Umstead Drive. Turn RIGHT into the first parking lot (striped in green paint, near a gazebo). Walk across Umstead Drive into the field. Your instructor will meet you there.
Dorothea Dix Park continues to work to be accessible and welcoming for visitors with disabilities and limited mobility. Accessible Parking with reserved spaces is available in all lots on campus. Handicap accessible port-a-johns are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Portions of Dorothea Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces are not ADA accessible at this time.
