Little learners will explore the many different kinds, colors and textures of tails that trail behind all sorts of wild creatures. Games, stories, songs and live animals will engage little learners.
Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
This program is for children ages 2-6 only. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
You MUST pre-register for this program. Please register each child, adults do not need to register. This program is free to the public thanks to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy donors.

Know Before You Go:
Parking: Turn onto Hunt Drive. Turn right onto Umstead Drive. Turn left onto Blair Drive. Turn left onto Barbour Drive. Follow the Big field to the SECOND gravel parking lot on your right.
Arrival: Please arrive a few minutes before 11. We know that sometime late arrivals can't be helped, but arriving late can disrupt the attention of the group.
Attire: Please wear closed-toe shoes; walking in grass and up and down hills will be necessary.
Food and Restrooms: There are no bathrooms in the park and no drinking water is available, so please plan to bring a water bottle and come prepared to only have port-a-johns available.
Dorothea Dix Park continues to work to be accessible and welcoming for visitors with disabilities and limited mobility. Accessible Parking with reserved spaces are available in all lots on campus. Handicap accessible port-a-johns are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Portions of Dorothea Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces are not ADA accessible at this time.
