The Bucy Foundation is partnering with Raleigh Parks to host a pop-up mini pitch in Dorothea Dix Park. The pop-up first appeared in Downtown Raleigh at City Plaza this past summer. Come out and play at Dix Park from October 11 - November 18, 2021.
Futsal (micro-soccer ) is a fast-paced ball sport similar to soccer but typically played on a small, hard surface court. Games are played between two teams of five, including a goalkeeper for each side. Players use a smaller, harder, low-bounce ball to score goals. Futsal is a game that outdoor soccer players around the globe play to refine and maintain their ball control skills.

Micro-Soccer in Raleigh Parks
The Bucy Foundation's Free Play Soccer ™ initiative aims to raise $2.5M over the next two years to build 25 futsal fields in local neighborhoods. Making fields local and play free elevates communities, promotes healthy lifestyles, and brings people together from different walks of life. The first of these futsal pitches for Raleigh Parks will be installed at Peach Road Park and Brentwood Park.
