Dorothea Dix Park to hold public meeting on Thursday, March 22

February 26, 2018

The City of Raleigh and Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy invites you to attend the second public meeting on the master planning of Dorothea Dix Park on Thursday, March 22. It will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts at 2 East South Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.

"We are excited to continue the conversation with the community on ideas for the park. This meeting will focus a lot on the nature of the site: the plants, habitats, water, etc. It will be an opportunity for MVVA to share what they’ve learned over the past few months and for neighbors to come together to discuss what this region needs and what will bring them back to the park again and again," stated Kate Pearce, Senior Planner, Dorothea Dix Park.

All are welcome to come hear the latest on design ideas for the park, provide feedback, and share new ideas. The meeting will include a formal presentation from the design team and interactive opportunities for feedback and ideas from community members. Help create a park that’s reflective of our diverse community—a park for everyone, built by everyone.
