Spaces of Belonging & Inclusion - Interpretation Workshop

Join us for a series of community workshops focused on how the Dix Park site might become a space for storytelling, remembrance, reflection, connection, and healing. Community members are welcome to join one or multiple workshops and share their ideas.

Spaces of Belonging & Inclusion

Different kinds of extraction and cultivation have defined the Dix site over time. In this workshop, we’ll explore how this land might become a source of connection and nourishment for all.

You might be interested in this workshop if

  • You have an interest in the ecology and landscape history of the site
  • You have experienced welcoming and healing spaces and would like to share some insights and examples of successful spaces
  • You or members of your community have needs that should be considered in the design of spaces at Dix Park

This conversation will be led by Brocade Studio, an interpretive planning and facilitation consultancy, who are creating a Cultural Interpretation Plan for Dix Park.

Childcare will be provided during the workshop for children ages 5-12 years old.

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Location: The Chapel at Dix Park, 1030 Richardson Drive Raleigh, NC 27603

Registration: RSVPs are encouraged.
