The 1st Annual Dorothea Dix Park 5K race benefits the future of Dorothea Dix Park.
Our scenic 3 mile course through the Dorothea Dix Park campus is the perfect place for a race. This race offers something for everyone with timed or un-timed registration options along with two fun runs for kids after the conclusion of the 5K. Race proceeds will support design and construction efforts moving forward as we create a park for everyone.
To add to the fun, each race participant will receive a free beer from Trophy Brewing and everyone is invited to our post-race celebration! Bring a picnic to share or enjoy fare from our food trucks and beverage vendors. Island Sound will be spinning some tunes so you can get down while you cool down! Post-race event will end at 12:30 pm.
Race Time: 9:00 am - A detailed schedule to be announced
Registration: $25 before February 22. $30 thereafter including race day.
Kids Fun Runs: Start time approximately 10:00 am. Includes a 100-meter dash for little ones under 6 years and a 400-meter run for ages 6-10. There is no fee for these races, and parents can sign up their children on race day.
