What an exciting year it has been! One year ago today... we celebrated the adoption of the Master Plan and kicked-off the next phase of creating Dorothea Dix Park! By Thomas Goldsmith The chapel that patients and staff at Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Hospital attended for almost 60 years is getting a $2 million facelift and will greet visitors to Dix Park as well as offer concerts, community meetings, educational programs, spiritual events and more.
The Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy is donating $7 million to fully fund Phase Now for early park improvements and to kick-start projects in Phase One.
