City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is excited to announce a new tactic in our fight against invasive species.
This year, Public Utilities, in partnership with the City of Raleigh Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources (PRCR) and Office of Sustainability have planted five acres of flowers at Dorothea Dix Park to allow community members to access and enjoy the amazing blooms up close. Peak bloom is anticipated July 14th.
Dorothea Dix Park will host another community meeting on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the park in Haywood Gymnasium at 805 Ruggles Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603. This will be the third of five large community meetings to be held during the master plan process.
Raleigh-based neon artist Nate Sheaffer will debut his interactive public art installation at Dorothea Dix Park titled Light the Woods with Sound in May. This one-of-a-kind installation will be on display Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from May 11 through May 27.
