Guided Tours of the Greg Poole, Jr. All Faiths Chapel

Over the last year the Chapel has undergone an incredible transformation. Renovations by the Dix Park Conservancy restored and enhanced the historic building to become Dix Park's first indoor public space. On this 30 minute tour with Dix Park staff you will learn about the history of the Chapel, the renovations of the building and grounds, and its future as a welcoming and event center.

Historic Resources Collection: Help us celebrate the newly rehabilitated Greg Poole, Jr. All Faiths Chapel at Dix Park by remembering the past. We’re calling for donations of artifacts that are connected to Dorothea Dix Hospital, the plantation era and beyond. If you would like to submit something from your personal collection for review you may bring it to the Chapel during tour times or contact Raleigh Historic Resources Curator of Collections, Ainsley Powell at ainsley.powell@raleighnc.gov or 919-996-4365.

Programs and events: Raleigh Parks Inclusion Services works with community members to support participation.
