Join us to get an on-the-ground view of the Plaza & Play project area as we begin the design process.
This 1.5 hour walk will visit the area of the future Dix Park Plaza & Play along Lake Wheeler Road. Conversation will cover concepts from the Master Plan, site history and preservation opportunities, and the design timeline.

Tickets: Participation is limited to meet the current outdoor gathering limits. Registration is required. Registration opens one week in advance at 12:00 pm.

Know Before You Go
- Walking up hills, in grass and on uneven surfaces will be necessary.
- Participants will be required to wear a masks at all times.
- Port-a-johns are available for restroom facilities at the park. Please bring a filled water bottle.
- The tour will be canceled and rescheduled if there is inclement weather and registered participants will be notified by email.
Dorothea Dix Park continues to work to be accessible and welcoming for visitors with disabilities and limited mobility. Accessible Parking with reserved spaces are available in all lots on campus. Handicap accessible port-a-johns are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Portions of Dorothea Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces are not ADA accessible at this time.
