Dix Park Commission

The Dix Park Commission exists to oversee and approve matters related to Dix Park policy and development, and make recommendations to the Raleigh City Council. The Dix Park Commission is supported by City staff well as Dix Park Conservancy staff.  The Dix Park Commission is comprised of eleven voting members:

  • Nancy McFarlane – Dix Park Conservancy appointee

  • Ed Fritch – Dix Park Conservancy appointee 
  • Damon Circosta – Wake County Board of Commissioners appointee 
  • Alicia Knight – NC State University Chancellor appointee
  • David Smith – NC Commissioner of Agriculture appointee 
  • Chris Pereira – Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Greenways Advisory Board appointee
  • TBD – Dix Park Stewardship Committee appointee
