History of a House
The House of Many Porches at Dix Park, built in 1898, is one of the oldest buildings on the former mental health hospital campus. Originally a home for senior staff, it later housed administrative offices and hosted community events. Vacant since the hospital's 2012 closure, it now serves as a gathering space in Gipson Play Plaza, welcoming families and friends once again.
