Drop in to enjoy some nature exploration with Dix Park, NC Museum of Natural Sciences educators, and a slithering live animal ambassador as part of Raleigh Greenways 50th anniversary celebration!
Learn about Dix Park's participation in the self-guided ecoEXPLORE program and explore nature found on our greenways. We'll have tools to enhance your discovery and NC Museum of Natural Sciences staff will help you identify your finds.
Location: Rocky Branch Greenway near the Tate Drive and S. Boylan Avenue trailhead.

Dix Park continues to strive to be accessible and welcoming for visitors, including those with disabilities. Currently, portions of Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces and are not fully accessible. Accessibility is a primary focus for all park improvements and development.
Event Site: This program takes place in the grass in the Dog Park. Walking from parking areas to the program site is necessary.
Parking: ADA parking spaces are available in all paved parking lots. The nearest accessible parking is located on Umstead Drive.
Restrooms: ADA temporary restrooms provided at the event site. Indoor restrooms are located at the Stone Houses, House of Many Porches, and Gipson Play Plaza.
Programs and Events: Raleigh Parks Inclusion Services works with community members to support participation. To request a program modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please complete and submit the Accommodation Request Form or contact Inclusion Services staff at 919-996-2147 or ParksInclusion@raleighnc.gov.
